YAY! School is finished for the time being. It was fun and educational! I imagine I will have a very different perspective when I'm taking the class for a grade. I will have to apply for the full Physics Masters program in a few months, which means that I need to rearrange my life come September. Not looking forward to that aspect, but at least I'm better prepared. Taking this one course as a practice run has turned out to be an even better plan than I expected.
Today also marked a huge milestone at work for my current skunkworks project
. It's amazing how excited you can get, and how much code can go into, printing out one little line of text. With luck, I can fix up the remaining nits, pass code review, and check it in all before I go on vacation.
AND MORE YAY: VACATION. I leave for Boston on the 25th, will be at PAX East
for several days, will catch up with some area friends (sorry if I haven't contacted you yet; I will make every effort to do so this weekend), then head down to PA (YAY TRAIN!) for my Mom's birthday. Should be back in WA on 4/1.
Man do I need this. Between work and class, it's been a rare night where I'm not working until midnight and going straight to bed.
This weekend: pack, taxes, mortgage application, and every other thing I've been putting off for months.
