not again, turtle
Ordinarily, I love snow. LOVE it. Today, it canceled my flight back east for Christmas.

Not. Happy.

I've been re-booked for Tuesday, but that's 3 days less I'll have home, which means that I might not get to see all of my friends who I didn't get to see during my September trip.

Very. Not. Happy.

We'll see if I can move my return flight a day out. *sigh* Yay! I was able to re-book my return flight a day later.

At least I get to pack the two things I forgot the first time, and I'll get to see some friends in Seattle before I go. And I can catch up on about a month of my LJ friends list. And I get a vacation day back (since I can work Monday). So it's not all bad.

Have a safe trip east and a good holiday.

My New Year's resolution is that we finally get together!

HA! Actually, you were one of the people I was going to try and see with my bonus Seattle days. :) Are you free for lunch tomorrow?

I could totally do lunch. I'm going down to the studio tomorrow and lunch before painting would be perfect!

Fantastic. I will email you my phone number so we can coordinate further tomorrow. Maybe call me at 10 and meet around 11? All the places I know of to eat lunch in Pioneer Square are closed weekends, so I have no suggestions for where to meet. We can hash out those details tomorrow. See you then!

Sounds good. I can't remember if you have my email.
Just in case... it's gagnon60@gmail...

So then... dinner tomorrow night? Marrakesh?

That is a great offer, but I really want to see all of my friends who I didn't get to see before I was supposed to leave. Have fun!

Yes! I've been actually taking great advantage of my "bonus days" here, so I'm doing my best to turn this into a net positive.

Also, I just read about Pixel! I'm so sorry! *hugs* You and I really need to get together when I do get back east. I don't know when I can make that happen, but I will do my best.

:( I'm so sorry, Frank! If you are in town for fun and frolic, let me know. BIG HUGS.

Thanks! I'm actually doing pretty well at treating this as getting some "bonus days" in Seattle, and making the most out of them.

Would that I were going to Boston, yes. :-) My family is in PA, though, and I don't see myself breaking away to MA, as much fun as that would be. I will still be there in late March, though, and I am also still on board for Disney in April. BTW, are there any specific dates for that trip?

Hope things work out. From what I've been hearing on the news, it's been a real mess in the northeast and mid-atlantic with this storm. We almost got slammed here in North Caorlina.

I would make sure you have plenty of things to keep you busy in case there are more travel interruptions. Good luck! HUGS!

I've been not letting it get me down, and things have been working out quite well, actually. My extra time in Seattle is almost completely fun time (since I got 95% of everything done before I was planning to leave).

We'll see if I feel the same way when I have to deal with my reduced time back east, of course, but somehow getting my return trip moved back a day alleviated a lot of that grump.

I actually always plan and pack for travel problems (lots of entertainment material, my iGo charging system w/AA-battery adapter, extra clothes, etc.), and this is the second time where that really paid off.

I heard that some parts of NC got it pretty good, actually. I wondered if you were tempted to drive in a bit and go snow boarding.

Hugs back! Hope to see you soon!

Some parts of the state got some decent snow up to 2', but that was all in the mountains. Areas just north and west of us got up to 7". Those pesky Appalachians mountain make it nearly impossible to forecast weather here at times.
