Evil, but cute & gay about it
...ramblings of the imperfectly innocent

yay, kermit
Today was a day of very big wins, overall.
  • Saved over $600 by using my United free flight voucher on my Christmas trip home! YES!
  • This means I can go to the not-Ides in August in Madison, WI!
  • Got really good seats to Avenue Q, on my birthday in fact. Just what I wanted!
  • Got kitschparade to agree to go with me!
  • Got to leave work slightly early thanks to a transformer across the street blowing up. Hopefully this will not be followed tomorrow by the epic fail of massive data loss.
  • Used my surprise extra time to help my brother buy a bike; found a good one just inside his budget.

Now I hope last week's pattern doesn't repeat where a great day was followed by a really lousy one.

Tell me more about the not-Ides...

I was thinking the same thing. Although considering the Madison people never seem to want to see me when I'm already in WI, perhaps my not knowing about this is intentional.

I'm being presumptuous here so don't be surprised if Frank corrects me.

Ted and I are visiting Madison in August and I believe Frank is going to come visit at the same time. I hadn't heard it termed not-Ides before. I more the merrier I say. Ted and I will be in town August 4-10 if anyone wants to fly out. Drop me an email and I'll let you know where we are staying.

Our visit coincides with National Poetry Slam '08. The local poetry group I'm part of is sending a team and I know a number of other poets from around the country who will be in town. I don't know to what extent Ted or I will be attending the poetry stuff. Really it's just an excuse to visit Madison again, catch up with whoever I know that still lives there and relax.
