Yay democracy

Just got back from the caucus here in Seattle: that was fun! The Dems here in WA have a general primary election, but it's just advisory so it doesn't really count for anything, only the caucus counts. Barack won handily in our precinct (6-2). My lone vote for Gravel went to Barack in the second round, as did all the other uncomitted votes that changed. I'm now an alternate delegate for Barack, so I have to find out where to go on Apr 5, just in case one of the 6 real delegates doesn't show up.

The thing I don't get, though, is how our tiny little precinct (maybe 12 square blocks) gets 8 delegates. If those are real state delegates that get counted on the news and stuff, then that just seems really high to me.
