Things continue to be hectic around here. Why did I think the two weeks between LISA and Christmas would be enough?

A good chunk of my shopping is done, and most of the rest is planned. Still going to the gym three nights a week, which seriously impacts my scheduling. I need to find a balance between all the aspects of my life; I'm getting close, but managing friendships seems to be competing with body improvement, and I hate making that kind of tradeoff. Bah.

Speaking of friendships, I had dinner and a long conversation with puppyboyrex on Tuesday, and braved WINDSTORM 2K6!!! for Ethiopian with sinnabor on Thursday. Morris was supposed to come over on Friday, but didn't. Did my shopping on Saturday, and Morris came over that night instead. He still has no power, and was quite out of his element. Have I mentioned how much nice it's been since the trip, and we haven't been trying to be boyfriends, and are just enjoying the relationship we have? It's been wonderful.

One of the new shops in Pike Place Market is a mini-cheescake place called Confectional. Now, I'm a sucker for puns, and a one-serving cheesecake sounded like heaven, so I had to stop in and buy one. It was quite good, and served up by several really cute guys with a distinct air of family about them. I fear for my waistline.

Work's been busy, but good. We've pretty much decided to not renew the expensive software that I'm using for my project, so that's kind of a disappointment, but I still have cool things to do. The other team is on a major push to release before year's end, so I get to avoid most of that stress. My desire to move over there has been dramatically reduced. I got a nice raise this year, so my finances are in decent shape, and I like my work-life balance just as it is.

Yep, things are pretty darn good, overall. I wish it were so for all my friends.
