Movie Marathon
6th-Aug-2006 02:59 am
rings
Pretty much all the fun activites I've tried to do this weekend have fallen through. Unless something happens (and it might, but I'm not holding my breath) I'm going to the Uptown tomorrow (well, today; Sunday) to see a bunch of movies. My current thoughts are:
  • Who Killed the Electric Car? - 2:15
  • Strangers with Candy - 4
  • A Prairie Home Companion - 7

...for a short drive on the penninsula (ferry->Bremerton->drive->Bainbridge Island->ferry). My car can handle that.

If you want to join me, give me a call/email/sms.

Also, there's now a movie version of The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Greene?!? From last year?!? How am I just now finding out?

I saw Who Killed the Electric Car? a few weeks ago, and I highly recommend it. It's...haunting, almost.

I want one of those cars, dammit.

Cool. And yeah, I've wanted an EV1 for a very long time. Damn GM.

"Ethan Greene" only got a showing here last week or so, despite being made earlier. I think it was film-festival-only fodder for a while before it got a (modest) distribution deal.

Ah, that explains it. Thanks!
